This Privacy Policy explains how SellerEdgeLab ("SellerEdgeLab," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the SellerEdgeLab browser extension (the "Extension") and its companion dashboard at app.selleredgelab.com (together, the "Service").

1. Single Purpose of the Extension

SellerEdgeLab is an Amazon seller research tool. Its single purpose is to analyze Amazon product listing and market data — while you actively browse Amazon.com — in order to help you identify product niche opportunities, and to sync those results to your private dashboard.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account & Authentication Data

• Your user ID and email address, collected when you sign in via Firebase Authentication.
• An authentication token, stored locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local) and used to verify your identity when the Extension communicates with our server.

2.2 Amazon Product & Market Data

While you are browsing pages on amazon.com, the Extension reads on-page content such as product titles, prices, Best Sellers Rank, review counts, and related listing metadata. This data is collected only from Amazon pages you actively visit — the Extension does not read or record your browsing activity on any other website.

2.3 Cookies

The Extension does not read your existing cookies. It writes three specific cookies to amazon.com to standardize search results to US locale and currency, so results are consistent regardless of your actual location:

2.4 Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your general web browsing history.
• We do not collect financial, health, or other sensitive personal information.
• We do not use tracking cookies or read cookies from other sites for advertising or profiling.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and keep your dashboard and Extension in sync.
• To analyze the Amazon product/market data you collect and generate niche-opportunity insights.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the reliability of the Service.

We do not use your data for advertising, do not build advertising profiles, and do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

4. AI-Assisted Analysis

Product and market data you collect is processed using automated analysis to generate niche-opportunity insights and summaries. Only the product/market data necessary for this analysis is processed — never your authentication credentials.

5. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your account data and collected results are stored in a hosted PostgreSQL database (Supabase) and processed by our backend service. Data in transit between the Extension, your dashboard, and our server is encrypted (HTTPS/WSS).

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We only share data with the infrastructure providers necessary to operate the Service (authentication, database hosting, and AI analysis, as described above), each of whom is contractually restricted to using the data solely to provide that service to us.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account and collected data for as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below; we will delete your data within a reasonable time after verifying your request.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS/WSS) and authenticated access — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business use by Amazon sellers and is not directed at, or intended for use by, children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above. If we make a material change to how we collect, use, or share your data, we will proactively notify you — via an in-app notice on your dashboard and/or an email to your registered address — before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
